A proposed new study based on a comprehensive analysis of the Russian-language literature
The substantial Triassic, Jurassic and Cretaceous reservoirs around the Caspian Sea can best be understood when considered as components of pan-Caspian reservoir systems, enabling predictions to be made regarding the hydrocarbon prospectivity below the Caspian Sea itself.
The aim is to conduct carefully targeted studies of these sections, creating new field logs, conducting sedimentological interpretations in the field, and taking samples for subsequent petrographic, biostratigraphic and geochemical analysis. Companies pre-committing to this study will obtain:
